Terms of service
Last updated October 29, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Memvi, on the web or in the app. Please read them; by creating an account you accept them.
Who we are
Memvi is provided by Healthy Steps LLC, 1 Radisson Plaza, Suite 800, New Rochelle, NY 10801, United States. You can reach us at help@memvi.app.
What Memvi does
Memvi turns material you add (text, PDFs, web links, audio) into a note, a quiz, flashcards, and a chat that answers from your note. Questions, cards, transcripts, translations, and answers are made automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against your own sources. Memvi helps you study; it does not guarantee results in a course or exam.
Your account
You sign in with Google, Apple, or a link sent to your email. Keep access to that account or inbox safe, because whoever controls it can sign in as you. You must be at least 13, and if you are under 16, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission. One person per account.
Your content
What you add stays yours. You give us permission to store it and process it only to run Memvi for you, for example to build your quizzes or transcribe your audio. Only add material you have the right to use. Lecture recordings may need your lecturer’s permission.
Fair use
Don’t use Memvi to:
- break the law or anyone’s rights, including copyright,
- access other people’s accounts or data, or test our security without permission,
- overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it,
- store or share material that is harmful, abusive, or illegal.
We may suspend or close an account that does, and we tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Free plan and Plus
- The free plan holds up to 3 notes. Plus removes that limit.
- Plus is a subscription, monthly or yearly. The price, in your currency, is shown before you pay.
- Plus renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. On the web, cancel any time from Plus → Manage subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you buy Plus in the iOS app, Apple handles the payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under Apple’s terms.
- Refunds on the web: if you live in the EU, the UK or another country with a similar law, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. When you buy Plus, you ask us to start it right away and confirm that you lose this right once it starts. Apart from that, payments for a period that has started are not refunded, unless the law requires it.
- If we change the price, we tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Changes and availability
We improve Memvi all the time, so features can change. We work to keep it available but can’t promise it never goes down. If we make a change to these terms that matters, we tell you before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. That deletes your notes and files. Cancel Plus first, so you aren’t charged again.
Liability
We provide Memvi as it is. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed deadline or a lower grade, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don’t apply to harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or where the law doesn’t allow them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, United States. If something goes wrong, write to us first at help@memvi.app and we’ll try to sort it out. Courts in Westchester County, New York, decide any dispute. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another country whose law protects you, you keep that protection and can also go to the courts where you live.
